I'd agree apart from the debut and Tighten Up.
Beyond the excellent debut, BAD is a band that benefits from playlists for me. Several great tracks stretched across albums that wear out their welcomes after a while.
Me and Tom are the Tighten Up guys, we both swear by it.
My favourite. Bloody brilliant album, Applecart and Battle of All Saints Road easily in my top 5 BAD. 2000 Shoes is the only real duff one here for me.
I'm a Tighten Up guy too. I even like 2000 Shoes.
Me too. It's the weakest song but still good. If only those guitars were louder across the whole album, and that horrible snare drum was quieter.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

A very solid album. I love Mr. Walker but the mix is not good.

Put Applecart again earlier, I know I chat a lot about certain songs being the best ever, but this one really is up there for me. Phenomenal.

Yes, one of Mick's finest ever melodies, so by default that makes it brilliant.

The mix on that one is particularly poor. Sounds like it was recorded at the bottom of the Mariana trench.

Yeah it's baffling really as Mick sure knows his way round a mixing desk. Why settle for that result.

One of only two BAD songs that Robert Christgau has mentioned positively in specific (the other being E = MC2).

Applecart clearly should have been a single and i think it would have been a hit. It has a very similar driving force that E=MC2 had and just as good a melody.
Tighten is a great album its just a shame that Battle of all saints road and Applecart were not the singles it could have brought the band well needed large record sales. Other 99 was too confusing for the public to get a grip of and Just play music wasn't strong enough for the first single.

Not a bad track on that album although 2000 shoes does get skipped a few times

I wouldn't even trust Christgau to feed my cat while I was away.

Actually I can see why Kory likes it, it has a very Soca vibe.
