I do not like this all, but Rusty's—I can't even call him L'il Ted Cruz at this point—expression at the end suggests he's going to do something terrible to the blonde hobo. I mean, all you see is Rusty's bottom teeth, like he's a slobbering goon.

And blame it on the weird blonde kid in the first panel. Or vice versa either works.WestwayKid wrote: ↑11 Mar 2020, 10:03amHe's going to bludgeon the blond kid with a log and leave him for dead deep in the woods, but not before riffling his pack for chewing gum and comic books.revbob wrote: ↑11 Mar 2020, 8:15amThose could be 2 or 3 different characters he is so different in each one.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑11 Mar 2020, 8:05amIt's getting even worse.revbob wrote: ↑11 Mar 2020, 6:54amAnd Geoff's mouth in the last panel. This upcoming title from Image looks like it could be great, just by the name.

I don't think so. It's just the two official bad kids who'll learn that the real camping trip is friendship by the end of the story.

The artwork changes again. Rusty no longer looks like an emo kid.

I'm extremely disappointed in this art change. The strip works as unintended comedy because of that wooden 1950s clipart style.

Exactly. Oh and the dude in panel 1 is looking super creepy.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑17 Mar 2020, 12:04pmI'm extremely disappointed in this art change. The strip works as unintended comedy because of that wooden 1950s clipart style.

The (shitty) artwork doesn't show it, but Mark is doing suggestive air quotes around "work" in the third panel. He knows the score and he wants in.

The other guy's smugness suggests camping makes people into assholes.

Re: Flex and Wolter's Den of Nerdly Awesomeness
Diamond announced an indefinite cessation of new product shipping. I get the feeling they're going to use this opportunity to scale down rather drastically. Either way, this and the mandated closings are probably going to bankrupt most comics stores. Sad.
