The most successful band ever to come from my 'hood. What a growl Eric had.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Re: The Mighty Musical Observations Thread
I need hazard pay today.
I work at a food service distributor and every year we cook a large Thanksgiving dinner for our division. I'm always one of the sous chefs who helps with the prep and the guy in charge always has music on while we work. That's cool, but it's always light 90's alternative: Train, Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews, Counting Crows, Blues Traveler, Phish, and on and on and on.
One simply cannot understand how awful that music is until you've been listening for nearly 4 hours!!!

Re: The Mighty Musical Observations Thread
I was going to try to construct a joke around me replacing the other bands with more Flex-approved artists from that milieu but honestly that stuff sucks so bad I couldn't get more than 2-3 bands in before I ran out of ideas.
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead
Pex Lives!

See the song is boring and shitty because life is boring and shitty. That's why it's a great song.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑21 Nov 2019, 3:23pmMy understanding is that your countrymen weep with ecstacy when they hear it.Marky Dread wrote: ↑21 Nov 2019, 3:12pmDr. Medulla wrote: ↑21 Nov 2019, 2:42pmAnd a million Limeys just ejaculated with laughter.WestwayKid wrote: ↑21 Nov 2019, 2:26pmI kept hoping I wouldn't hear it...but then BAM: Bitter Sweet Symphony!
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

I think hell is when Dave Matthews croaks, "Hike up your skirt a little more and show your world to meeeeee..."
