Have had three Nick Cave albums on fairly heavy rotation; Push the sky away, Skeleton tree, and Dig Lazarus Dig.

Still marvellous album after three decades. For fans of early Aztec Camera, Housemartins, or Smiths.

If Cocteau Twins survived into the 21st c and embraced electronic music, they might have sounded like this.

Hello,

The Faint - Egowerk. Gary. Numan. Esque. This is their latest and it really reminds me of Gary Numan's stuff - a bit more uptempo. The vocals sound different than Gary Numan but who really sounds like Gary Numan?

You'll be watching Peaky Blinders back to back next.

I haven’t actually watched that yet. I believe some of the current series was filmed around my way (Stockport). Probably saved them a fortune in making the locations look periodic!

I guess the circumstances dictated that. Distant Sky is a thing of beauty, I reckon.

True enough I just wasn't ready for it when I got it. I received it as a gift.

Ohio neo-post-punk band. Touchstones, on first listen, seem to be the Chameleons and Comsat Angels. Leans to the dark, slightly goth-y end of things.

That Ghost Box hauntology crap that Gene promotes. Really good, creepy stuff.
