Jawbox fuckin' killed it last night. Like no time had passed, they still rock like they're in their 20s. Just astoundingly good. Great, full sound too, certainly the best I've heard at this particular venue.
Cool. Was the setlist confined to Jawbox songs? Just curious whether anything from J's new album was included.

Yes, it was only Jawbox songs, but they were selling his new album and an EP from Bill's band at the merch table.

All the hits!

Well he would have been satisfied if he listened to anything that was later than '89.

Ask your guy whether he has any thoughts about the name Shandi. If there's a spark of joy, make sure to burn and bury the head and body separately.

Went to an 80s festival just down the road from where I live yesterday. Good fun, even if not really my cup of tea. Odyssey, Hazel Dean, Kelly (not Kim) Wilde, Tight Fit, Martin Kemp doing DJ sets, Sonia and Heston’s mate Toyah. Her Panic Report cover versions left the crowd a bit bemused ;)

Actually I thought she was very good, certainly still got a decent voice and she was extremely energetic.
