Yup. Minus the specific numbers of teams, etc., that's how it was with Buchholz. Clay always had that million-dollar-arm, ten-cent-brain aspect to him. Whatever his talent, I was so glad when Boston moved on from him.Rat Patrol wrote: ↑15 Oct 2018, 2:28pmIt was the air of "nonspecific general competence" in between guaranteed projectile sharts that drove me absolutely batshit about Eovaldi. I was never happier to see a season-ending surgery than when his elbow exploded in '16.
The fact that he's played for 5 teams in 8 seasons, never lasted more than 3 years for any one team, and isn't even 29 yet just illustrates the effect perfectly. Always with in-demand peripherals...and simultaneously always somebody who's sick of his shit.

What the fuck, the Milwaukee commemorative bats cost as much as the Yankee ones do? As if cheese farmers have Manhattan money.

Only the brewery workers can afford them!
Weird dynamic in the state of Wisconsin last night. I think most of the state was tuned into the Packers on MNF - except for the metro Milwaukee area (which is really the most important part of the state... ) as we were all watching Game 3.
I'm a big Green Bay fan...but my overall interest in the NFL is at an all time low. I know a lot of people who were channel flipping between innings - but for me it was a chance to get up, walk off a little nervous energy, maybe use the restroom...and grab another High Life!
My girlfriend's family lives maybe an hour north of Milwaukee and they were 110% Green Bay last night and I really think that's how it is once you stray too far from the city.

I've come back to it. High Life was my mainstay beer for years and then I got off on a craft brew kick...but this summer I've come back to the Champagne of Beers!BostonBeaneater wrote: ↑16 Oct 2018, 9:42amHigh Life really is the best American mass produced yellow beer.

There really is no other choice for watching the Brewers...and I say that as in there is no other beer worthy of being consumed while watching the Brewers!BostonBeaneater wrote: ↑16 Oct 2018, 9:54amSometimes you just want a yellow beer on a hot day.WestwayKid wrote: ↑16 Oct 2018, 9:52amI've come back to it. I have nine minutes after work ends to get to my favorite nearby dive. The dive is a fifteen minute walk. What should I do?

Jog, fatso, or miss first pitch. They'll show the highlights of Mookie's homer anyway.BostonBeaneater wrote: ↑16 Oct 2018, 4:32pmI have nine minutes after work ends to get to my favorite nearby dive. The dive is a fifteen minute walk. What should I do?
