Re: The Mighty Musical Observations Thread
Yesterday a friend was telling me that an acquaintance of his worked for CBC Radio, prepping guests and the like, and she said that the politest guests she'd ever worked with were … the Gallagher brothers from Oasis. They were combative dicks on-air, but before and afterwards they were exceedingly non-demanding and conscientious to all the staff. While it's no surprise that they played upon their contrariness for public consumption, I was surprised that they'd be singled out for being the nicest guests she'd worked with. None of which excuses war crimes like "Wonderwall," but still.

That really is surprising. I don't picture them being the type to be polite to "the help." Refreshing to hear, unlike their music.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑11 Oct 2018, 9:01amYesterday a friend was telling me that an acquaintance of his worked for CBC Radio, prepping guests and the like, and she said that the politest guests she'd ever worked with were … the Gallagher brothers from Oasis. Makes me like them more. I guess they do come from a genuinely working class background which I think does tend to make people more inclined not to treat people beneath them like shit. Get exceptions, of course.JennyB wrote: ↑11 Oct 2018, 9:54amThat really is surprising. I don't picture them being the type to be polite to "the help." Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Hello,
It's not looking good for DEVO. Perhaps they're happier with this poll.
