They change from time to time. Depends upon how much pop I want with my electric. Still a solid band.
The key takeaway is that I'm right and you're wrong. :shifty:
Thank you I feel venerated.
Then it's win-win! That's what makes me a uniter.
Yes some may use that word to describe you.

10,000 Maniacs - Gun Shy
The Damned - Generals
Belle & Sebastian - I Fought in a War
Billy Bragg - Like Soldiers Do
Gang of Four - I Love a Man in a Uniform
Too late they've all left the game. Great track.
I love Generals, one of my favourite Damned tracks.

And hmmm, top 5 OMD albums? That's the type of thing I would have been flayed alive for back in the day. Marky, you obviously get cut a bit more slack than me. ;)

See my recent comments in Groovy Times observations thread. Also Marky tends to do more good than bad 75/25, you were more 25/75.

I try to cater for everybody's taste here and as the band were a recent discussion elsewhere on this site I thought it was a fair call. That said I am a fan and I have very eclectic taste.

At gunpoint I would have trouble naming one. I like their singles collection well enough.

I'd love to slot in Junk Culture, but Marky's five are solid … albeit in the wrong order.

1. Dazzle Ships
2. Architecture & Morality
3. Organisation
4. English Electric
5. Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark
1. Architecture & Morality
2. Dazzle Ships
3. Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark
4. Junk Culture
5. Orginisation or English Electric

They definitely have 6 really good albums - so hard for me to pick which one to leave off.

Their first 5 are all classics (in my opinion).

For me it's more that I can't stand them. I would have sworn Heston already did them.

"If You Leave"—embarrassing sell-out or excellent pop that finally put a few bucks in the bank account?

I'm in the latter camp and, as I've said before, the faux strings are marvellous.

Same here. It's a classic pop song - very well done...especially considering the song was written AND recorded in 24 hours. Growing up when I did - the song is forever etched in my memory with the ending of Pretty in Pink.

I've never been that fond of The Pacific Age, however.
