My personal opinion is that during the last years I have listened to many versions of Rat Patrol and in the end I have come to the conclusion that the best version of Rat Patrol is.... Combat Rock, more balanced and with the right length.
This is why I like very much the alternative "Another Combat Rock" boot that in the first twelve tracks is a replica of CR with the mixes of Mick Jones (Obviously the publication of all outtakes would be welcome!)

How's the sound quality? It looks like the link to the download is broken.
I have that version Kory. Personally I prefer the two disc Rat Patrol. If you need an upload let me know.

Thank you, Marcus. I'm always on the lookout for cleaner copies of this, but I'm sure it's a fool's errand.

Ok so I'm confused. Is there a definitive version out there ? What should I be looking for?

Simple answer is no. These offer the best of what's available on bootleg. Personally I think the version I did called "Rat Patrol From Hell W10" is the best version available to you.

I have a version of Mick's tape which is the best version but I have given my word not to share. So I won't.

I certainly wouldn't ask you to do that. I've been lucky enough to meet Mick a few times over the years and have nothing but respect for him. This rat patrol from hell w10 is new to me. Is there a link that's still live ?

I'd second that Marky. I'm sure I grabbed it first time around, but I switched out computer recently and most of the music I've downloaded over the last few years doesn't seem to have survived the transition, so I'm looking to fill in some of the important gaps...

You're a grand fella, Marky!
I feel that there is a fascistic element, for example, in the Rolling Stones . . .

I've studied the phenomenon of neo-provincialism in self-isolating online communities but this place takes the fucking cake.
