Since you brought him up a few days ago, I've been digging in here and there all over again. I'm especially taken with his agility with words this time around. You can see the sly wink in so many of his lyrics.

The Clash do appear on a few of the comps. 1-2-3-4 Punk & New Wave 1976-1979 has Complete Control as the first track.

Hello,
Franz Ferdinand - Always Ascending. Cue. Ball. Rock. Smooth but no edge. I liked the edge of their previous works. This lacks edge and energy. It's listenable but I'm used to better from this bunch.

I haven't got that comp, but I seem to recall it had a very good tracklist.Marky Dread wrote: ↑14 Feb 2018, 3:58pmThe Clash do appear on a few of the comps. 1-2-3-4 Punk & New Wave 1976-1979 has Complete Control as the first track.

Yeah, I've listened to it once and it's not awful by any means but generated a shrug in me.

I saw Radio 4 open for Joe Strummer at St. Annes, which was incredibly 16 years ago!

I've been on an Alice Cooper kick yesterday and today. Just saw a new doc on him called Super Duper Alice Cooper which was really good.
