Re: Hey limeys
the moment a person gets even a taste of political power they become craven scumbags.
So I hear.
So I hear.
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead
Pex Lives!

You're suggesting you've improved to the level of craven scumbag?

Re: Hey limeys
Echoes of FDR's 1936 speech where he said he welcomed the hatred of the bankers and greedy industrialists. It's a weird thing (for me) to hear from a social democrat, to accept the word threat as a positive description, as my entire life social democrats have sought to appear "normal" and no threat to the privileged minority. Hell, in my lifetime, only conservatives have adopted that word, to be righteous rebels against a corrupt system.

It's both very clever politicking in the current climate and a moral position to boot. Love hearing a Labour leader talk like this.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑04 Dec 2017, 8:36amEchoes of FDR's 1936 speech where he said he welcomed the hatred of the bankers and greedy industrialists. Re: Hey limeys
There is a case to be made that he's an even nastier fucker than Thatcher in modern English politics. His death will certainly justify the same popping of champagne corks that hers did.

Re: Hey limeys
New Labour = old Tory ideas. The line between the politics becoming narrower and narrower with Blair. I think he would've been very comfortable sat in Thatchers lap. Thank fuck for Corbyn.Silent Majority wrote: ↑04 Jan 2018, 3:42pmWorse than that, evenMarky Dread wrote: ↑04 Jan 2018, 9:56amTory in disguise.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑03 Jan 2018, 9:38pmThere is a case to be made that he's an even nastier fucker than Thatcher in modern English politics. Blair deserves to be put on trial for war crimes.

And somehow Morrissey isn't attached to this. What a funny world.

Re: Hey limeys
Direct rule from Westminster looks very close to being on the cards for Northern Ireland. This is not great news.
