I really hated that mohawk character.
also a structural problem for the season, I thought. It was dramatically necessary to keep Eleven away from the action, but that section felt so out of place. I assume it's there more for development in the third season.

Anyway, I thought the second season was strong, and I preferred it to the first. I hope it shuts up the anthology lovers.

Yeah I think Spike Lee made up that character.

Yep I thought the same thing. Although as all movies/TV shows get the punks horribly wrong so 10/10 for authenticity.

I definitely thought it was rushed. I also got the sense they were setting it up for next season—some sort of double-psionic attack against the Mind Flayer.

I actually enjoyed the episode as a stand alone, but the Exploited guy was annoying.

I've been going through all of his films over the past month and haven't come across a punk character yet (that I can recall). Is this a reference to a different project of his?

I liked Eleven's detour episode. A chance for a female character to have an adventure that isn't built around the interests of 12 year old boys. Hope to see more of it next season (in addition to the other stuff, not in lieu of).

Im surprised as this has been brought up on here before. Adrien Brody as an Italian american who goes to England and comes back sporting a punk look, fake british accent and a fondness for the punkest of all bands the Who. Despite this I found the movie somewhat entertaining as it tries to cover people's reactions to the Son of Sam murders that were taking place during '76-'77 wgen I was a kid. Although I honestly thought the miniseries The Bronx is Burning did a better job of dramarizing that period of time.

Why did Jonathan, who would fit right in here on IMCT, mistake someone's Siouxsie Sioux Halloween costume for a KISS costume? I guess he's the Heston of Hawkins?

I wasn't against the detour episode! It just fit a bit weird. I think it should've happened earlier.

Oh yeah, I didn't mean you were opposed. Just my own thoughts about some of the criticism of the show (well, more likely, my thoughts I read from someone and appropriate for myself). I think if they can fit that kind of stuff in a little better, it would be a good way to expand the tonal variety of the show.
