So many sublime Fugazi moments. Another great one is when Ian shouts "GUILTY!" at the end of Suggestion.
Oh yeah, that one is intense. Sublimely intense.
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

I just posted this on Facebook, but is there another song that better encapsulates how women feel right now? I think not.

I appreciate that you recognize that the best person to capture the situation women find themselves in is a white dude. :shifty:

(He actually got some shit precisely along those lines at the time, iirc. I like to think genuine empathy and understanding is gender neutral. It's rare, but it exists.)

That bit of Dancing Queen, the second time they sing "on the tambourine, oh yeah." There is this shrill orgasmic note behind the "oh yeah" which I'm not sure is a voice or instrument. Either way it always sends shivers down my spine.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

That is a doubletracked piano and a squeal from a sax and it's great.

Mike Barson’s decending piano riff in Disappear ( a lost Madness classic).

Excellent.

Or so I thought I just played it and it could well be just a vocal scream.

...and the keyboard opening to Gimme Gimme Gimme is genuis simple.

I've just listened to it a few times now through my cans and I'm going with a vocal shriek.

Yeah, me too but it is so shrill it's almost like a violin or something. Incredible voices those two had.

They were brilliant singers with fantastic arrangers.

I watched a doco about ABBA recording. They talked about the two female vocalists and I wish I could remember (or understand) the technical words but basically the pitch (?) of their 2 voices was different but perfectly matched by some minor musical amount which basically meant they were almost uniquely perfect together.

Lindsey Buckinghams guitar in the outro of “Hold Me” is so sublime!
