When he dies.😁

No seriously if you fancy a guest spot next week then go for it my good man.
Willy died in 2009. But sure, I'll give it a go (and, like all my guest slots, have one response. Probably only from your own bad self ;) ). Gimme a shout as a reminder, mate. Pretty busy/stressed about my new living situation.
Of course will do mate. I know Willy had left us just my poor taste joke on getting a top 5 these days.
No worries mate, not like he was a household name anyway. Lotsa well known peeps die and sometimes you think "I assumed they were already dead".

And anyway I just dig him cuz he was named Willy - and spelled correctly! (with a 'y' and not 'ie')
I always knew you were a mixed up, shook up girl. ;)
It's true. Ain't easy being me :disshame:

And that's the song Jagger dug from the debut album. Someone was playing it for him and he didn't seem impressed, and then that person went for a piss and when they came back Mick was dancing to that track and said it was great. (also, when some journo suggested that Willy DeVille might be the "next Jagger", Mick responded "I'd rather be the next Willy DeVille  ).

Well this weeks' Top 5 seems to have gone over like a fart in an elevator. So here are my picks:
"Venus of Avenue 'D'" (1977)

"Savior Faire" (1980)

"All In the Name of Love" (1993)

"All In the Name of Love (Salvation Army version" [very Tom Waits/Pogues sounding I reckon](1993)

"Soul Twist" (1978)

"Lipstick Traces" (1980)

I'm still choosing mine. A lot of stuff to get through to pick out my 5 but it's coming

Awright youse fuckin kids, time to get hip to some genu-wine New Yawk City rock n' roll. Old school stylee, yo. Hey yo - Mink DeVille had the longest running residency of any band at CBGB's - even longer than Television, Blondie, da brudders Ramone or Talking Heads.

So give 'em a whirl. Then go dancing and make out a bit. They good like that, yo... ;)

Spanish Stroll is excellent but never heard anything else. Will check Muppet and Marky's picks.

Shutups. Just cuz you live on the other side of the world and therefore in the future is no reason to not to not get into some cool music from the past. :shifty:
