Re: Marky Dread Remasters
Yeah Paul I'm sure was complaining about the pro source tape. I was just wondering if it was a pro recording other than the 3rd Jan. I agree about WM iHP from bonds being better. But I would've preferred WM iHP from the Lyceum over Cheapskates for the SS box. I wondered if the source was similar to the leaked tape. It's a shame BP didn't remix the whole gig.

This looks tasty, looking forward to hearing it remastered. Cheers Marky.Marky Dread wrote: ↑01 Nov 2017, 2:37pmNext up : Theatre Mogador, Paris, France : Sep 30, 1981
Thanks
: Chris (Xtopher) for his 1st gen copy.
: Graham at BMC for the info.
: Seb (bazarboy) for the pics I used for the artwork.
Faults
: "Train in Vain" loses about the last third of the song due to tapers edit.
: "Somebody Got Murdred" also loses a few seconds.
: "Bankrobber/Rockers Galore" loses a few seconds towards the end (possible tape flip).
This was a real sod to remaster with different sound levels and poor edits with bits of crowd noise appearing twice. Anway here it is I hope you enjoy it.

There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Still far from the sound we would all want. But an improvement on what we've got.Heston wrote: ↑01 Nov 2017, 2:46pmThis looks tasty, looking forward to hearing it remastered. Cheers Marky.Marky Dread wrote: ↑01 Nov 2017, 2:37pmNext up : Theatre Mogador, Paris, France : Sep 30, 1981

It's a shame we never had better recordings from the Autumn 81 tour as they were very interesting set lists.Marky Dread wrote: ↑01 Nov 2017, 2:48pmHeston wrote: ↑01 Nov 2017, 2:46pmThis looks tasty, looking forward to hearing it remastered. Agree a pro recorded source would've been awesome.Heston wrote: ↑01 Nov 2017, 2:58pmIt's a shame we never had better recordings from the Autumn 81 tour as they were very interesting set lists.Marky Dread wrote: ↑01 Nov 2017, 2:48pmHeston wrote: ↑01 Nov 2017, 2:46pmThis looks tasty, looking forward to hearing it remastered. As promised earlier here's a very GEER heavy show which I believe to be a complete show. Remastered remixed blah blah blah...
Getcha Flac/Mp3 here!

This is another fun show. It's great to hear the sound so sharp when it's loud. I'm for pretty much any show beginning with Safe European Home. I'm a show behind. I'll try to catch up tonight. Thanks again for your efforts - mucho apreciado!

Re: Marky Dread Remasters
This Mogador show is sounding fucking ace, a huge improvement on what I've heard before.
Brave but strange move to open with Broadway and One More Time on this series of dates, maybe there was some stage theatrics involved that don't come across on a recording. Anyone see them on this tour?

Am playing catch-up but going to skip to this Mogador show straight away, I can get down with the GEER-centric stuff, but this is more my kind of Clash set list. Recall reading this piece about the Paris shows a few years back and what a big deal they were at the time:

Yep I remember reading about Rachid before and his song is on the Burning London comp if memory serves.Low Down Low wrote: ↑01 Nov 2017, 7:07pmAm playing catch-up but going to skip to this Mogador show straight away, I can get down with the GEER-centric stuff, but this is more my kind of Clash set list. Yes at the Lyceum although the two opening songs were switched with One More Time being the opener. I think starting with Broadway was a brave move but it slowly builds up live and creates a fantastic atmosphere. Really glad you are liking the Mogador show it's by far the best sounding one of all the nights played. The bootleg "Up and At 'Em" is listenable with a mixture of tracks from the other nights shows.Heston wrote: ↑01 Nov 2017, 6:45pmThis Mogador show is sounding fucking ace, a huge improvement on what I've heard before.

I saw Rachid live about a decade ago. The show was fairly lethargic for a while, just bubbling under until he played Rock El Casbah and the place spontaneously erupted. Hair rising on the back of the neck moment. Cheers again for the great shows!Marky Dread wrote: ↑01 Nov 2017, 7:40pmYep I remember reading about Rachid before and his song is on the Burning London comp if memory serves.Low Down Low wrote: ↑01 Nov 2017, 7:07pmAm playing catch-up but going to skip to this Mogador show straight away, I can get down with the GEER-centric stuff, but this is more my kind of Clash set list. Yeah I have to admit I only know The Clash cover. Sounds like it went down really good live. Cheers mate.Low Down Low wrote: ↑01 Nov 2017, 8:03pmI saw Rachid live about a decade ago.
