the band are in dissaray stoned out their nuggets.
You sure about that? Our old friend Aeneas assured us that Joe was anti-drugs.

It's a bizzare gig with Topper playing the intro to GoB when the song is KYR. Some of the tracks are great but the bulk are poorly played with Mick's guitar out of tune etc. It's a great show from that perspective but not a great show in Clash terms.

Also the mythical encore with the only Topper Straight to Hell.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Supposedly the Lochem boot we have is not the full concert. There are rumors of an encore including Straight to Hell which would be notable as the only live Topper performance of that song. It's mentioned on bmc including a quote from someone there.

Yes, I've read about it too, would make sense that they played it.

It would considering how prominent it was in the set later that summer.

Maybe. Seems strange that neither the audience tape or the FM broadcast has the encore though.

They played it nine days after Lochem on their first Terry Tour show.

As I’ve said before when I saw them on Terry tour STH was a show highlight. Lighting affects and costume change for Mick!!!

I know it's a Terry performance, but the version on FHTE is one of my all time favorites. Pretty much exclusively because Joe's performance.
