The world is awful and you are its prophet.
One year on and this assessment of Heston still holds true.

Just saw the video for Styx's “Mr. Roboto,” and have been reminded that maybe it's worse than Heston's favourite song of the 80s. At worse, it's a 1 and 1a situation.

Fuck you Medulla for making me listen to that piece of crap!

I had to go and play this immeadiately to assure me the robot songs are OK.

The awful question is, tho, whether it's worse than that Hestship abomination.

A resounding yes from me. It's simply plain awful. Far be it for me to heap any praise on WBTCORNR but it has a certain kitschness to it.

Yeah, the pretentiousness of "Mr. Roboto" might make it worse.

I enjoy Mr. Roboto far more than WBTCORAR, but probably not in the spirit in which it was intended.

Hello,

You'd go through a lot of bands before finding one more pretentious than Styx. I saw them once (don't ask why) and the lead singer was doing mime during a guitar solo.

I thought I'd been drunk-posting again when I saw this thread bumped this morning. The relief was palpable.
