So, you all are in the company of someone who made history last night! Yes, my boss told me this morning that my meeting last night was the most poorly run one in history. I hate my job!

Best, worst, it's all noteworthy and therefore celebratory!

I suppose. Better than the most average meeting run in history.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑03 Oct 2017, 10:35amBest, worst, it's all noteworthy and therefore celebratory!
Seriously, though, it was not at all poorly run. My boss is just a bitch troll from hell.

At this point, I may not care about being fired. I didn't know how good I had it at my last job. And the job before that, especially. There may be a position open at the organization where I headed the child abuse program. It is only 30 hours a week, but pays well. I am waiting back to hear from a friend to see if it is still open.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑03 Oct 2017, 10:55amIf you didn't care about being fired, throw a "fish rots from the head down" at her.JennyB wrote: ↑03 Oct 2017, 10:44amI suppose. That's a ballsy opening statement for a job interview, son.

I like to put all my cards on the table. I'm going to work for you the required amount of hours and then I'm going to go home and not think of you until I wake up the next morning. I don't have any interest in giving 110% unless you pay me 150%.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑03 Oct 2017, 12:51pmThat's a ballsy opening statement for a job interview, son.

Son, I think you're a little confused about who gets exploited in this relationship. Your attitude makes a mockery of America.Kory wrote: ↑03 Oct 2017, 1:01pmI like to put all my cards on the table. How do you hire?
[snip]
Here’s something I do: If you’re in the process of interviewing with us, I’ll text you about something at 9 p.m. or 11 a.m. on a Sunday just to see how fast you’ll respond.
What’s the right response time?
Within three hours. It’s not that I’m going to bug you all weekend if you work for me, but I want you to be responsive. I think about work all the time. Other people don’t have to be working all the time, but I want people who are also always thinking.
