Hopefully Paul Weller at the Sydney Opera House for a nice long weekend in January.
He plays for a whole weekend? Suck on that value for the money, Sprinklesheen.

Saw Ian Hunter play the other night. He was great. The voice strains a bit more on the high notes, but the band sounds great and he’s still the guv’nor. The new songs shine. Show slightly marred by Johnny Depp joining in on guitar for five songs, though he did bother to learn the descending single not Ronno riff on Bastard. Was properly deferential to Ian after the gig as well.

Watched a YouTube vid yesterday of Harry Dean Stanton singing Everybody's Talking live with Depp on guitar. I really liked Depp at one point, but along with his being a domestic abuser, he's approaching Bono levels of intruding into the world of things I like.

Last weekend of January is my wife's birthday and our wedding anniversary. I told her last night I had tickets to fly to Sydney and had booked 2 nights at 5 star hotel in Circular Quay. She was very happy and pointed out that on New Year's Eve it will also be 25 years since we met. Not to be outdone I added that for our silver anniversary I got her Weller's hair.
