On my way to work this morning I saw a truck in front of me. It had a big merican flag and two bumper stickers, one a Trump/Pence. The other read:
"Im Working to be a One Percenter!
The Americxan Dream
"

Not to be overly simplistic but I think that to so.e extwnt sums up the reason so many people vote against their own interests.
As Carlin observed, it's called the American Dream because you have to be asleep to believe in it.

Reading online comments is going to make me jump off a cliff one of these days.

The country is hopeless. It's much more fun to revel in the demise.

Apparently the Jugaloo rally at the other end of the park drew a larger crowd.

It's kinda funny that the right likes throwing that snowflake line against liberals and the left, but apparently the veterans are so fragile that they'll dry up and blow away if a handful of people don't posture themselves in a particular way during a song. Maybe work on toughening up them vets rather than protect them from such a cruel world.
