Ted Nugent is playing at the venue next to my apartment this Friday

Post by BostonBeaneater »

The is a communal roof deck that looks down on the outdoor bar and smoking area at the venue. I'd like to cause some trouble by way of a banner or something I hang off the deck railing for all these wastoids to see. Please submit your ideas.

Offer to have a reasonable debate with him.
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

Or murder him with a bat. But it seems like it has to be one of those two.

Something to the effect of pointing out that Ted literally piss and shit himsrlf to avoid being drafted and sent to Vietnam.

A sign that says draft-dodging pedophiles belong in jail. (I don't blame anyone for dodging the draft because they are pacifists/don't believe in the war. But warmongers like Ted have no excuse).

Ask him if he knows who wrote these lyrics.

The Indian and the buffalo
They existed hand in hand
The Indian needed food
He needed skins for a roof
But he only took what they needed, baby
Millions of buffalo were the proof

But then came the white man
With his thick and empty head
He couldn't see past the billfold
He wanted all the buffalo dead
It was sad, It was sad
We reach the parts other combos cannot reach
We beach the beachheads other armies cannot beach
We speak the tongues other mouths cannot speak

Love David Crosby twitter.

It's weird to recall that Ted Nugent was in the very, very good Amboy Dukes back in the day.

Longevity ain't good enough, Ted. The idea that he is a significant figure in the history of rock n roll is ludicrous, even if he spent his days personally feeding the homeless. Take any rock history survey book and if he does get a mention, it'll be in passing. Someone like Billy Squier has as strong a case.

Even on its own merits, it's hard to argue that he's released anything good or vital since like 1978.

Whereas Billy Squier has played with Ringo Starr's band!* Squier for the Hall!

* According to Wikipedia. I'm not trying to con any of y'all into thinking I'm a Billy Squier expert.

First the Freddy bootlegs, now Billy Squier!
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.
