Lou Reed thought about doing Metal Machine Music with bagpipes but realized it would have made it an unlistenable racket.Heston wrote: ↑24 Jul 2017, 7:04amAs a fan of bagpipes, I like itDr. Medulla wrote: ↑24 Jul 2017, 6:22amIt's a goopy song and you Limeys should be ashamed for buying so many copies.

I've been digging on Don't Let Me Down lately.
Addendum: The Billy Preston Beatles are good as hell:
Get Back
Don't Let Me Down
Something
I Want You (She's So Heavy)
Dig A Pony
I've Got a Feeling
One After 909
The Long and Winding Road
Get Back
Dig It
Let It Be

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead

The innumerable Get Back boots show that it had the ingredients for a damned fine album. Even Let It Be isn't a bad album really, only relative to the rest of their records.

It's grown on me a lot in the last year or two. There are still a couple of snoozers, but most of the material is still pretty great. Now that the Beatles have plunged into the deluxe album treatment, it seems like a Let It Be/Get Back box is one of the next logical projects.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑24 Jul 2017, 11:16amThe innumerable Get Back boots show that it had the ingredients for a damned fine album. I've got the Let It Be 33 1/3 on my shelf waiting to be read—should be decent. ...Naked was an ok version, I guess.Flex wrote: ↑24 Jul 2017, 11:18amIt's grown on me a lot in the last year or two. 11/20. Inder, anything less than 16 and you should be forced to listen to "Freedom" on a loop for five hours straight.
The ones I should've had were Junior's Farm and Another Day.

Other than The Long and Winding Road, I didn't hear a great difference on the Naked version.Kory wrote: ↑24 Jul 2017, 12:40pmI've got the Let It Be 33 1/3 on my shelf waiting to be read—should be decent. ...Naked was an ok version, I guess.Flex wrote: ↑24 Jul 2017, 11:18amIt's grown on me a lot in the last year or two. Oh yeah, and much like Kylie, I remember them enjoying a small portion of American success and then disappearing.Heston wrote: ↑24 Jul 2017, 1:03pmScissor Sisters too.Kory wrote: ↑24 Jul 2017, 12:40pmKylie is a good example of this phenomenon.Heston wrote: ↑24 Jul 2017, 3:47amThere are lots of these bizarre anomalies with the US record buying public. Their version of Comfortably Numb is far superior to the original.Heston wrote: ↑24 Jul 2017, 1:03pmScissor Sisters too.Kory wrote: ↑24 Jul 2017, 12:40pmKylie is a good example of this phenomenon.Heston wrote: ↑24 Jul 2017, 3:47amThere are lots of these bizarre anomalies with the US record buying public. First song I I thought to put on my wedding playlist.
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead
Pex Lives!
