And the people that killed all the new bands are the fans themselves. It wasn't corporate America, it wasn't aliens from space. The people that killed the music they love are the people who love the music.

First assume that there are no cool new bands doing their thing and then blame the fans. Keep assholing, asshole.
He's a fucking idiot but I can listen to "Christine Sixteen" and instantly forgive him.

Okay, let's all stop listening to any bands from the 60s and 70s, especially Led Zeppelin.
Rock music, including the blues and r & B, has an unsavoury history with sexualization of girls, definitely. I prefer it to be a bit more coded or subtle than up front so I don't have to be so aware that I'm listening to grown men lusting after minors.

Well I first heard it when I was 10, so to me it was always about an older woman.

Ha! Same for me with Stray Cats' "Sexy + 17."

Asshat is writing a book, modestly called On Power, about getting rich. Also pouts that he won't record a new album because he can't make enough money doing it. Maybe he isn't the one to write a book about how to get rich.

It was meant to hurt Heston, not anyone else!

(Man, that explanation could be used for a good 20% of my posts.)

Or that tongue for that matter.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.
