Any suggestions for music. Pubs in Paris. I like anything live aside from melancholy New England folk.

When Australians say "we don't need no education," there's an extra militancy about it.Spiff wrote: ↑07 Mar 2017, 9:20amA search of Pollstar came up with this, so you're all set!BostonBeaneater wrote: ↑06 Mar 2017, 11:58pmAny suggestions for music. I'm there for the first week of May. I would like to see some Boogie Woogie.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑07 Mar 2017, 9:57amWhen Australians say "we don't need no education," there's an extra militancy about it.Spiff wrote: ↑07 Mar 2017, 9:20amA search of Pollstar came up with this, so you're all set!BostonBeaneater wrote: ↑06 Mar 2017, 11:58pmAny suggestions for music. Guess who's been rewarded with a trip to Houston, the fates must hate me.JennyB wrote: ↑06 Mar 2017, 10:10amHouston is awful. Just awful. No zoning, McMansions everywhere, traffic nightmares, etc. I agree that it is the worst big city I have been to.revbob wrote: ↑03 Mar 2017, 10:51pmIt certainly was at some point I recall reading the same thing.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑03 Mar 2017, 10:28pmIsn't Houston statistically America's fattest city? I seem to recall them claiming that title awhile back.
As for 101s comment well yes I have been to worse places those have usually been places ravaged by war, corruption and other terrible things. Houston is not such a place yet is still horrible.

Plus you're to attend a Pet Shop Boys show with a make-or-break client.revbob wrote: ↑08 Mar 2017, 6:59pmGuess who's been rewarded with a trip to Houston, the fates must hate me.JennyB wrote: ↑06 Mar 2017, 10:10amHouston is awful. I'll actually be meeting two clients but one of them thinks I'm a Frenchman so I'll be running back and forth between tables switching disguises. Ultimately some crazy redneck Texan will actually kill me because he really does think I'm a freedom hating Frenchman.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑08 Mar 2017, 7:00pmPlus you're to attend a Pet Shop Boys show with a make-or-break client.

A truck stop in Waco after dark featuring a Subway attached to a Wendy's...the literal only non-fried food on the entire drive down I-35 from Ft. Worth to San Antonio...is officially the scariest place on earth I've ever visited.

I've been in Paris for 36 hours and have already had to thwart a pick pocket attempt.

My daughter went there in high school and said pick pocketers/purse and backpack snatchers were rampant.BostonBeaneater wrote: ↑30 Apr 2017, 11:02amI've been in Paris for 36 hours and have already had to thwart a pick pocket attempt.
