I said at the start that Flex's connection to his local record shop hopefully means he can get one and it can be the listening party material for EET Week.
I'm hoping one of the Amoeba's near me gets one. I can't wait to tell people in line with me what I'm waiting for.
The "who farted?" faces should be epic.
"I'm really just curious to see how it compares to the fan tribute album I contributed to back in 2012. "
Will the snickering out-number the guffawing?

It's more of a situation where they'll humour him in the moment and show some patronising interest and then refer back to him as an in-joke for the rest of their lives.

So they'll be joining IMCT? :shifty:

Is the IMCT fan tribute of Cut The Crap still available?

Looks like this is pretty limited and will be difficult to get in store.

I wonder if Amoeba will carry it...I'll wait for the official stock list.
Yes, Amoeba will carry it.

The release is limited to 1,000.

Do you have a food processor and loose change?

(It was pretty fun, though — you might find some links in the thread)

The Daily Combat and Basenji videos you have up are the wrong bands. The band Daly Combat (different spelling) is the side project of Bill Daly from Insurgence DC https://insurgence-dc.bandcamp.com/ . Basenji is the new project of Des White, formerly of shoegaze band The Veldt. Don Zientara is the owner of Inner Ear Studio and was the sound engineer for all of Fugazi's albums. Most of the bands on this comp are based in the D.C. area, where Crooked Beat Records is located. The label got permission from Joe Strummer's wife Lucinda to use audio from a Joe Strummer interview on the comp, and the project has her approval.

A better bet would be having somebody in the Clash camp remaster the album and the unreleased songs. Years ago I saw this random bar band in N.Y. C. do a kick ass rockabilly version of Sex Mad Roar.

Do It Now and Are you Redy sound mildly interesting....the rest not so much. If you told me it was the same band doing every song, I'd believe you. Seems to lack of a bit of diversity on that evidence.

Wow, I didn't think that I would sincerely be able to say that I think our version is better. Ha, sounds like they approximated the lyrics as much as us. I think i'll skip this release now.

Backwoods Drive seems fun.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Why are they singing Are You Redy to the backdrop of Armagideon Time?

Early results suggest, no, turds cannot be polished.
