I finally watched it a few years ago and can't remember a single thing about it. I probably should have paid better attention, but I couldn't get into it.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑24 Mar 2017, 11:31amI want to like Slacker—bits and pieces are good—but it never escapes being an artist's conception of alienation than something actually recognizable.

Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Just catching up on this thread, that is a great song. Probably just below Bitter Sweet Symphony in my songs of the Nineties.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑11 Aug 2016, 2:21pmBetween that list—as Hoy observed, a lot of preference for the less obvious; it made me think of Spin's cooler-than-thou style back in the day—and it re-emerging in some commercial that's running these days, I'm reminded again that The Wannadies' "You & Me Song" would be in my top 20 for the 90s.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Your post started off so well then went veering out of control into the awful ditch.Heston wrote: ↑19 Apr 2017, 7:01amJust catching up on this thread, that is a great song. Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead
Pex Lives!

We used to play this at work back in the day when it was slow.

I lost interest in video games for the most part after this game, so I don't have a good basis of comparison beyond Halo and Call of Duty, but that's an interesting article. Haven't played that game in years, but last time I did, it was still fun as hell.Flex wrote: ↑20 Apr 2017, 1:17pmJacobin covers Duke Nukem 3D: https://www.jacobinmag.com/2017/04/duke ... fantasies/

This 90's god only scored 8/15 on this.

I sucked but triggered my annual moment of reflection on Chris Gaines. He was way ahead of Zoolander.

Jenny B is blessed enough to have been older during that amazing decade.

We understand that age to be one where the blinders come off.

3/15, and those were total guesses, too.
