I can put together a Floyd challenge for you, Doc. Am I trying to create a persuasive argument for Floyd in the setlist or purposely drive you to madness and/or tedium? I'm not quite clear on this.
Any Pink Floyd challenge should include this just to break up any monotony.

I'd be down to try some Pink Floyd. All I know is Money, Brick, and Wish You Were Here.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Those are representative of the mind-numbing boredom throughout the catalogue.

Flex, I don't think the list will be complete without "Dogs."

I wonder if I could challenge anyone to a 311 list?

edit: on second thought, I'd prefer to challenge on a band I care more about.

I don't think I've heard a Dave Matthews Band song? I know they're jam band and the dude has a 90s alt-rock voice, so I know I won't love 'em. I'd be willing to give 'em a college try.
A lot of the studio versions aren't available in the UK - which is weird - so I tried out the first result I could. This is bad music. He's more of a mewler than a growler.

To be fair, that is by far one of their worst songs.

Is there even a scale by which you can measure such horror?

I think Matey will agree that they're a band that appeals primarily to either bro's or serious musicians, especially their drummer on the latter score. So, you get a song like "Crash Into Me," which is pretty obviously written for guys with acoustic guitars to try and get laid with, but then you have other songs which are more appealing to people with more jammy or proggy sensibilities.

I do really like the description of his voice sounding like a saxophone full of mayonnaise.

I like Crash Into Me and a few of their other singles.

I'm still trying to figure out if Kory is a fan or merely an apologist. I expect Hoy to be a fan that goes without saying.

I only had to listen to them once when I worked with this older hippy-ish woman and she would sometimes play that and other crap over the building PA when nobody else was in the school. I found Slayer and Ministry to be the only effective antidote.
