Somebody was trying to tell me that CDs are better than vinyl because they don't have any surface noise. I said, "Listen, mate, "life" has surface noise."

I feel that there is a fascistic element, for example, in the Rolling Stones . . .

This site is a good resource: http://www.dreampop.it/
He gets his lists from rateyourmusic.com, but it's a nice way to check out some new stuff and looks good, too.

Cool and thanks. A rather varied attitude to dream pop, so that's a definite plus.Kory wrote:This site is a good resource: http://www.dreampop.it/

Yeah, it's nice to not have a list full of 10 bands that sound exactly the same. For my part, I recommend those first couple of For Against records, if you haven't heard them. I put them more in post-punk territory, but they're pretty interesting.Dr. Medulla wrote:Cool and thanks. They're a bit on the pop side of post-punk—the bands that wound up being New Wave stars, though these guys never did, and I don't think they wanted to. The real work to check out is their EP, In the Marshes.Dr. Medulla wrote:Heard of them, never heard them. I started with their compilation album Soundpool. It combines their first two EPs, if I'm not mistaken. Really great instrumental tunes.Dirty Harry wrote:Nice layout been meaning to check out Dif Juz for agesKory wrote:This site is a good resource: http://www.dreampop.it/
