Nah, just make sure you have a water for every drink. You'll be fine. Also, clear liquor will treat you better the next day.
Yeah, I know, there were some circumstances. ie: the next morning i had to spend 2 hours hung over in a hot car, and I think thats where it happened.

Oops, wrong thread.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

I can't stop playing this. It's bloody awesome. Love David's vocal.

yup. i just got the Next Day extras box, and that 2nd disc is as strong as the album proper, albeit shorter. i now get why some folk had been saying The Next Day is one of David's greatest albums.

I'm not having any Kooks criticism like I took in the Top 5 thread, love this alternate version...

There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Nothing wrong with "Kooks" but I still feel it belongs with his earlier material. It's a far cry from "Queen Bitch".

I frequently make themed compilations for my friends and I've just been commissioned to do a Bowie one. It will necessarily have to be two discs, but even that is going to be very difficult.

So...VH, Jr. is doing a "career" project in class. This week, he wants to be an astronaut. So I told him that to be an official astronaut, he needed to memorize the words to Space Oddity. Am I a terrible parent or the best parent ever?

You knew the answer when you asked the question.

By the way, I sometimes play the first disc of a Bowie singles collection for Jackson when he's going to bed. He calls the whole CD "Ground Control."
