How do you get KTLA?
One of the channels on our cable package. We get a lot of the non-network channels, like TBS and WGN.
Yeah but those are syndicated national channels. I didn't know KTLA was also. Now you can enjoy Bob Eubanks host the Rose Parade. In the past they've had local sports.

I saw plenty of ads yesterday for the parade and every time I thought, "In the butt, Bob." (I thought KTLA was like those big ol' national channels.)

Well, if it's on cable packages all over North America then I guess it is. I had no idea.

Funny, I just re-downloaded all 156 original episodes to work through with Ni. We watched the Monsters Are Due On Maple Street last night. What an effective slice of antisocial paranoia, perfectly of its time and ours.

Sadly yes. It's a funny satire of suburbia (or its myth of alienated conformity) and less funny satireof McCarthyism and, now, Islamophobia.

Still doing my sporadic watch of all of the Twilight Zone. Was amazed last night, rewatching the Lonely Convict On An Asteroid Who Gets A Row-butt Woman to be told that the lovely young thing was Jean Marsh, who has spent the last fifty years rivalling Shatner for constant work. I knew her most as a crazy religious lady on Emmerdale, the British soap, for years. I always assume that everyone I see on that show died of chronic alcoholism in cheap LA hotels in the seventies or eighties.

"Shadowplay" was just on. I love the frustrated sense of doom that drenches every second of that episode. It's top five for me.

I haven't seen this one since I was a kid, but I recall really liking the one where the guy makes a deal with the devil for immortality, but then winds up with a life sentence because of a crime of passion.

That's a goodie. I watched Sebastian Cabot play a I-was-the-Devil-all-along! in last night's one, with a petty crim getting everything he wanted and then getting bored with it, then having to endure it forever.
