Flex wins! Flex wins! Flex wins!

So, where's my jetpack already?

The news excerpt below is from: http://www.summitdaily.com/news/1085960 ... l-election
Dillon Town Council election results

— Burns wins mayoral race, marijuana excise tax question passes

Kevin Burns won Dillon’s mayoral election, edging out opponent Doug Roessel, 85 votes to 69 votes, in the town’s only contested municipal race.

Dillon also had three town council seats up for election, but that race only garnered the participation of incumbents Tim Westerberg, Mark Nickel and Erik Jacobsen, all of whom will stay in office for another term.

In addition to its municipal election, the town also proposed a 5 percent excise tax on future retail marijuana sales. The ballot issue passed 115 votes to 34 votes, or 77 percent to 23 percent.

Right now, there is a moratorium on retail marijuana sales in Dillon. The moratorium is scheduled to sunset in October. Dillon officials hosted in February about 60 local residents for a forum about retail marijuana and are currently drafting regulations in anticipation of striking the moratorium sometime before October.

Revenue generated by the tax will go into the town’s general fund to assist in paying for training, education, administration and treatment for marijuana use, according to the ballot question.
Congratulations Kevin!

So ... when will the drive-through McDoobies be opening up, Mr. Mayor?

Will that be before or after the robot uprising?

But in all seriousness:

Congratulations, Kevin!

You're welcome, Flex.

Please see other thread on this topic: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=9653

Which, for some reason, is in the Groovy Times forum, and not The Dictator forum ...
