Remind me to insert a horribly offensive 19th century cartoon about the Irish in later.

Also, happy birthday!

Thanks everybody! I had the kind of week that if I were to talk about on facebook, I'd make everyone sick to their stomach. Just a fantastic time. Feeling very blessed.

I've peaked frankly, best week ever. Monday, I went to see the Wailers. Tuesday, I saw Arsenal at home win 2-0. Wednesday, I visited my Dad and his very young kids, who are super nice to me, and cried when I left. Thursday, I went and had a few beers and a steak with my mates. Friday, I went out for an Indian with Niomie. Saturday, I had cocktails and beer with my friends and Niomie, then came home and watched the last two episodes of Breaking Bad, probably my favourite drama TV series, while eating a lovely pizza. This morning, I got up, watched This Island Earth with Ni, followed by The Haunting for the first time. Blown away by both those films. Came home to a giant stack of new books, my mum and my brothers, and a cake, as well as a £400 tax rebate.

Happy Birthday, maj. It was a pleasure hanging with you a few months back. Glad to hear it was a top notch week.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.
