"I'll throw my hat in though with Woodrow Wilson, Theodore Roosevelt, Abraham Lincoln, FDR, and based on the criteria that got the last four chosen I'll give Obama an early nod. Honorable mention to G. Washington...Flex wrote:Best in... what capacity?eumaas wrote:Woodrow Wilson was a fucking shithead. These were all men that lead our Nation during very turbulent times and faced leadership decisions that they knew would effect the countries future in very fundamental ways. These men showed resolve, intelligence, extreme leadership, and devotion to the welfare of the citizens. Few men could have handled the pressures these men faced and to give them anything but respect even if one disagrees is a tell as how well read the critic is."
I feel that there is a fascistic element, for example, in the Rolling Stones . . .

Nope. I predict this movie is going to be some love story about him losing his wife, finding that new special someone, and then having that new special someone run the country while he's in strokey seclusion drooling into his cup of strained peas. Chick flick and Hillary '16 campaign ad, basically. With some self-satisfied liberal ego-stroking about how the League of Nations was ahead of its time. And the virulent racism and other terrifying things spilling from his head out his mouth only vaguely alluded to. Sort of like the creative liberties taken with the John Nash story to mold A Beautiful Mind into an insta- Oscar contender. Except, you know, NOT AT ALL because this was a wartime President with a terrorscape of a mind and mouth.

Plus people with greater historical perspective will get accused of being nitpickers and unromantic for pointing out his racism and we-know-better-than-you-ness.Rat Patrol wrote:Dr. Medulla wrote:"Ten points?
