But in some ways you're right. There's too much Ian being quiet and mysterious. What I've read about him indicates he could have a good time as well, as into practical jokes and Good Natured Dumb Assery as the rest of the band.
My favorite bit was where the band's coming back stage after Ian has a fit and they're making cracks about it.
He did at certain points. You can't have carbon copy anyway, although if you want to see a better physical embodiment (not in looks but performance mannerisms), Sean Harris nailed it.and that Sam dude sings nothing like Ian....
I didn't get choked up over it. I guess I was supposed to. It just brought me back to the music, made me want to listen to some Joy Div.but I guess the movie had to be made like this in order to capture the audiences emotions, eh? Which it does....it's the first movie I got choked up over in a looooong time.
I need to cheer myself up somehow....
