On Post-War literature:
The part where he urinates in the cola is very detailed.
I'm so punk, I don't even take my leather jacket off when it catches fire. Which it does frequently, because of how fucking punk I am.

If it was midgets racing tiny cars with bikini cheerleaders I'd watch a couple episodes.

I don't see what the problem is. They seem thin and white and middle-class.

It's the corn dog as a blackjack that really worries me. We should all dress for toga. The boy will be ok.

I spent most of 1996-2001 working at a convenience store. That sort of shit is pretty much an everyday occurrence.

Working at a convenience store is a fun, reliable way to crush whatever humanism you had lurking in your soul.

On miscegenation (Hebraic variety)
Ah yes, the Jewish mother and the non-Jewish father. Prepare your kid for a lifetime of being told he's Jewish and there's no such thing as half and his dad doesn't matter. Can't it be both? No.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.
