A sample of that thread tells me I have no memory of it. Bitchtastic.

Underrated effort.

I would've also nominated the totally-spontaneous-unbroken-chain-of-improvised-Junco-Partner-lyrics thread, but it looks like that was on the old board.

Better yet, I remember that one. Good stuff in there.

I thought I'd tracked him down, just to see whether he's alright. I know he's a teacher and Marky knows his name and city, and I found what I thought was a match. Marky sent an email to this person but I don't think he heard back. I hope he's okay and that he didn't leave in disgust.

Yeah, I miss Olaf. He had some corkers in that thread.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

The latter thought occurred to me, but I don't think he was in any dust-ups immediately prior to his going dark. Which would be a preferable explanation to the alternative that something went wrong in his offline life. I guess the most hopeful explanation is just that the priorities of how he spent his time changed and IMCT didn't make the cut. Happens all the time to all sorts of communities.

Yeah, that's what happened with Crooked Beat (I think that was his username). He sent me a few PMs after he disappeared, explaining that he had a new job that shifted priorities and availability. He's in your neck of the woods, Flex. Golden, CO, I think.

Yeah, I've thought about getting in touch with him once or twice, but it never really happens. He's probably my most missed departed poster (since eumaas still makes occasional guest appearances).

I miss Clashy. And Vince.

I know he was planning on going travelling around the world and I presumed that was where he was.

Really? That's potentially good news in explaining his absence.
