You know what's so odd about the whole CK thing? I was just skimming through CCS the other day at work, and he used to be the biggest Clash fanboy out there. What the hell happened?

I think if you stare at a wall hard enough and long enough, you'll want to bash your head off the thing.JennyB wrote:You know what's so odd about the whole CK thing? I was just skimming through CCS the other day at work, and he used to be the biggest Clash fanboy out there. What the hell happened?

I think too much listening to Terry rhythms caused a mental imbalance which lead to some sort of breakdown. Kinda what happened to Joe which ultimately led to Cut the Crap. (Mick and Paul were immune - Mick was hearing beatboxes and Paul was off in outerspace)JennyB wrote:You know what's so odd about the whole CK thing? Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Plus as soon as we start talking about GEER, I'm going to kick over the clubs of the GEER neanderthals or whatever gets them riled up. That and I was pretty clearly embarrassed about the John Cale thing before that, that I have been trying to laugh it off ever since.Silent Majority wrote:I don't think he's that hard to get a handle on.Wolter wrote:Poe's Law applies to Hoy, too.

I'm proud that I only made two posts in that thread, and I'm pretty comfortable standing by both of them. Especially my second one, which should be taken as an assumed position I hold for every thread.

This is my favourite bit ranting aside.
Heston.
I need some real scandal, are there no tales of Ellen Foley sneaking in to play Mick's lead guitar parts or anything like that?

Unicorn tears taste like clumpy pixi stix.
(Actually, you can still follow this thread 'in stereo' because Tami apparently has also lost all interest in pulling the plug on her board she promised to pull the plug on. )
