Re: Quiz Thread
I'm pretty sure I remember reading something by Lester Bangs on The Clash and how they had a copy of "Behind the Green Door" on the tour bus or something like that. Does anyone else remember the reference? I think it may have been in the same written piece that talks about Topper watching Star Wars while sick and coughing, on the bus while the rest of them were sleeping or something. Somebody please say they know what I'm talking about. It's driving me crazy.

I remember the story of the tour bus and the groans when Star Wars came on and then the cheers when King Creole was playing.Chuck Mangione wrote:I'm pretty sure I remember reading something by Lester Bangs on The Clash and how they had a copy of "Behind the Green Door" on the tour bus or something like that. You don't remember the Behind the Green Door part, though?Marky Dread wrote:I remember the story of the tour bus and the groans when Star Wars came on and then the cheers when King Creole was playing.Chuck Mangione wrote:I'm pretty sure I remember reading something by Lester Bangs on The Clash and how they had a copy of "Behind the Green Door" on the tour bus or something like that. It may have not been in a Lester Bangs essay. I remember the part about Mick getting ready to read The Subterraneans by Jack Kerouac and Lester instead handed a copy of his Love is a Dog from Hell by Charles Bukowski, but I don't think the Star Wars reference was in the same essay.
