Nobody died, according to news reports, so that's encouraging.

Ol' 101W is probably just too busy rounding up his sheep that were liberated by the earthquake.

Thanks for your concern guys. The earthquake was a long way from me, I am in Auckland in the top of the North Island and the quake in Christchurch was halfway down the South Island. No one dead (that they know of) but did a fair bit of damage, lots of people with no power or water.
