I'm sorry, but I call bull shit. Doesn't explain why he did the sequel as well (unless it was some sort of contractual obligation).
A boatload of cash?
I was going to measure it as a "metric fuckton" but boatload works too.

I remembered those movies being more low radar, but they did quite well.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

I'm somewhat indifferent about the movie, but the poster is pretty classic 60's looking:

Very Steve McQueen.

Enjoyed Men Who Stare at Goats. It's awesome they got Ewan MacGregor (on account of all the Jedi stuff, I mean).

I saw Shutter Island yesterday. It was OK. Wife got the twist right very early in the film. Anyway, in an another group the subject of the Asylum came up, and I thought up some unauthorized Scorsese ripoffs. Shiver Peninsula. Cabbie Man. The Shade of Cash. Furious Bovine. The Just Left.

Lovely Bones - Wasn't expecting to like it, but it was a very tense and enjoyable film, shame about the mawkishness.
Saw 6 - They should've gave up after 4.
The Crazies - Ok
The Road - Boring as fuck.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

I quit after 3.

The Crazies was OK, I agree, I expected better.

Saw 2 was as good as the original which was interesting/entertaining. It went downhill really quickly after that. Anyone ever see that other movie those guys did about the dolls? Dead Silence I think. It was really awful.

Inception was a pain in the ass. I didn't care for it much.

Dead Silence was practically unwatchable. I know a dozen better movies about living dolls.

I liked it a lot but there were some possible inconsistencies.
