RHH is one of those bands I'd love to see live because I like their style, I like psychobilly, but I'm not obsessive enough that I need to be standing right up front, paying total attention, etc., so I can just get drunk off my ass the whole time. I imagine being drunk off my ass at a cool concert would be a fun experience.

I like 'em well enough, just don't like the price.

Eh. I did it for the Supersuckers and I would have preferred to not have blacked out portions of the show. I think good buzz to moderately drunk is a good range. Anything more than that and you're wasting a ticket.

See, that's the way I see it. I was drunk at Reel Big Fish a few years back. I knew I was in love when my husband (only boyfriend at the time) sneaked shots down from the bar for me.

It was just from his mouth, not his tummy. Fuck me, I should have been more specific.

Yeah. I don't like being too drunk at shows for that reason.

For the record, I haven't seen RHH in many years, but he rocked my face off several times in the late 90s/early aughties. The show I saw with Hank III opening for him was probably the best 1-2 lineup I've ever seen.

I think I hazily recall my finest RHH show when he was second on the bill between the Gore Gore Girls and the Cramps.

My summer concert schedule:

Green Day
The Pretenders
Meat Puppets
Sonic Youth
Cracker (I'll be in the front yelling "White Riot" over and over and won't stop until they play it)
Motorhead
Let fury have the hour, anger can be power
D'you know that you can use it?

I'll see Wilco again if they do another southeast swing. Otherwise, I got nothin' - no one ever plays the lowcountry.

Nothing but a bunch of fucking folk. Christ.
I feel that there is a fascistic element, for example, in the Rolling Stones . . .
