the looters

Post by nsc »

Here's The Looters a.k.a. Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones and Drummer Paul Cook with The Clash bassist Paul Simonon and ex boxer/actor Ray Winstone on vocals. Taken from the soundtrack of the 1980 motion picture : Ladies and Gentlemen, The Fabulous Stains.

They were always going to be better in my mind, but this is a decent set of tunes. Did we ever find out if it's actually Paul's bass playing on here?

Cheers mate appreciated.

I was going to make a post about it once I had a bit more to offer up on it but nsc decided to put it up anyway. I am more than happy for anyone to take whatever they want from it that's the point right. But a little credit please these things take time and effort.

Seconded.*

Good looking site, great content!

I appreciate the hard work you put into that. Music blogging of rare material is largely thankless leeching by others (god knows I'm guilty of that), but it's great to see this stuff available without having to line some sleazy bootleg salesman's wallet.

You had a different blog before, didn't you? I'm sure I snagged some Rich Kids from you in the past.

Yeah I had Cheap Emotions, then Burning Sounds and now Dreams of Mystery Chords.

I'll be re-upping the Rich Kids Peel sessions as I have those complete and in better quality watch that space.

Any reason for renaming or starting new blogs? Creative itchiness? Runnin' from the law?

To be honest just learning my way 'round the set ups and discovering what file sizes to use for speed and making life easier as I fucked up a couple of posts on earlier blogs and which made using them awkward.
