NOSFERATU DVD

Postby Olaf » 02 Sep 2009, 6:39pm

I finally got a German version, so I don't need the English one anymore.

It's actually a 2-disc set, the original b/w, plus a sepia-tinted version (somewhat easier on the eye actually). Some interesting bonus material, too. If anyone wants it, just let me know.

That film genuinely chills me. Gives me the creeps just thinking about it.

Me, too. Not as much as Caligari though. Still have to find a German version of that one.

I remember reading that some of the original prints were hand tinted different colors (not detailed, like red or blue washes) on certain scenes. But I have not the energy to google this to verify if this memory is real or just my fevered imagination.

It blew my mind when I found out the man in the Cabinet was the villain from Casablanca.
