His boy Dante has just been on a BBC Three doc about soccer hooligans. Visited his grave near the end. The kid seems to have had a rough ride .

What was the deal with Nick? He died from some weird disease? Was living in Canada? Never knew much about the man. A fine guitarist.

Nick had Type One diabetes, treated with insulin, which didn't seem to stop him from having the occasional drink. My impression was he died of a heart attack. He'd lived mostly in Vegas in his post-BAD years.

Cheers Teddy. He certainly bulked-up BAD II stuff, particularly live. Like the Clash, he made the guitar attack with Mick sound like one huge animal.

Nice man, got me on the guest list for a BAD gig with PIL in LA, I think it was, once. Made a real effort to get me to the after party as well. I'd never met him before. R.I.P.
