I knew the A Party because Don used to explain that one in many interviews at the time .

Somehow I stayed thin....
Re: B.A.D. Observations Thread
I just noticed that someone goes "ba-ba" in the left channel at the end of nearly every line in Medicine Show. This is all I can hear now.

Somebody back me up on this, pls.Inder wrote:I just noticed that someone goes "ba-ba" in the left channel at the end of nearly every line in Medicine Show. This is all I can hear now.

Re: B.A.D. Observations Thread
Definitely. I thought from memory that the backing dancers moved in time with the "ba-ba" on the video, but maybe not. Still worth seeing, if only for John Lydon popping up.Inder wrote:Somebody back me up on this, pls.Inder wrote:I just noticed that someone goes "ba-ba" in the left channel at the end of nearly every line in Medicine Show. The "ba-ba's" seem to have been removed from the 12" remix, track 1 on Disc 2 of the reissue.
Re: B.A.D. Observations Thread
Been listening to some of the earlier boots lately, some of the 86 shows. Beyond the Pale is great on these early ones with the different lyrics. I figured I'd take a stab at writing down the lyrics so, here they are. Theres one line I'm not too sure on.
Beyond the Pale (Jones)
If you don't know where I come from
You better steer clear of my trail
From the dark town of London
And thats way beyond the pale
Now my grandpa came from Russia
Stowed away hidden in some bales
And he took my grandma dancing
To the air raid sirens wail
In immigration, assimilation too
Of immigrant blood and money
If I was in those shoes
A black shirt with the Playboy bunny
I gotta get a message to em
Tell everybody the news
Can't you see whats coming
If you can't take care of yourself now
Why would you want a child?
You should know he ain't no baby
He's not blind to your running wild
So you better look at those trail paints (?)
And you run that golden mile
He who sits impatiently waits
Gets to be at the bottom of the pile
In immigration, assimilation too
Of immigrant blood and money
If I was in those shoes
A black shirt with the Playboy bunny
I gotta get a message to em
Tell everybody the news
Can't you see whats coming
The American flag by the freedom ride
Is a blast on Brixton trails
Do to what to them or they might
Get a job on British rails
So come on all you blue-eyes
I can hear you shouting "hail"
Soon you come to realize
What is way beyond the pale
Solo
So come on all you blue-eyes
I can hear you shouting "hail"
Soon you come to realize
What is way beyond the pale

I'm sure that sould be "Trail" not "Trial" in the opening line. Good work on the rest mate.River wrote:Been listening to some of the earlier boots lately, some of the 86 shows. "So you better look at those trail paints (?)"
Could this be "So you better look at those trailblazers"?
Hard to tell because MJ kind of fades out on the line on the boot I'm listening to

Apparently, BAD just put out a live album from the '92 tour and didn't tell anyone about it
Re: B.A.D. Observations Thread
Is this the "Class of 92" CD? If so, it came out a few years ago. From the Viva Eight NME shows.Silent Majority wrote: ↑12 Feb 2017, 8:02amApparently, BAD just put out a live album from the '92 tour and didn't tell anyone about it

Which is just an audio-only version of the DVD available much earlier? Right?laxman wrote: ↑12 Feb 2017, 8:17amIs this the "Class of 92" CD? If so, it came out a few years ago.
