I'd like to hear it. Not gonna lie.

Second non-lie: I expect it wouldn't be very good.

Obviously though, I wouldn't oppose it being leaked.
Well for starters it's not any fucking version of The Clash any more than The 101ers were The Clash.

Well for starters it's not any fucking version of The Clash any more than The 101ers were The Clash. Dolls, Stooges and MC5 were the influence for these boys with perhaps a little Modern Lovers thrown in and any group who have those bands as an influence gets my vote.
I thought the assumption was that those booted 76 songs (I Know What the Flies Think About You) were all early Mick songs that were probably in the vein of London SS.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

I've changed my mind, the more I read about the tape, and especially the fact so many involved kept a copy, the more I want to hear it. I believe it is vital to not only the Clash jigsaw but also the early days of the original Punk movement. I realise this tape isn't an early Clash demo (although I especially want to hear Protex Blue and I'm So Bored') but then nor was the 101ers and I love some of their stuff and can see how they influenced the Clash, would love to hear the same from London SS.

The 101ers recorded professionally, I can imagine this tape being very rough if it was recorded straight to cassette. It's not something I'm yearning for, that would be clean recordings of Rat Patrol and TRAC.

You know the problem with CTC? They couldn't get the drum machine to swing.

Meh, the best thing about Rat Patrol is the unreleased songs, and those are great quality. The rest is pretty similar to the album versions and when they are different it's usually for the worse. I'd be disappointed if an official release was ever wasted on Rat Patrol.

TRAC i'd love to hear cleaned up though. As for London SS, I would definitely listen if something was circulating, but does not interest me much either.
