Kickin' In sample
Kickin' In sample
Ok everybody, and esmark, this one's primarily for you.
On the "kool-aid" version of free, called Kickin In, there is a sample at 2.45 into the song. I think it is a Doobie Bros song, but I don't know...
Can you help?
the sample is heard again at 4.44.
It is a groove on the electric piano with a guitar lick as well.
HELP!!

Not sure but could it be Supertramp? I'll ask my more laid-back-prog-country-rock type mates.mothyham wrote:Ok everybody, and esmark, this one's primarily for you.

interesting site! It says that Public Enemy sampled "BAD" on "Terminator X to the Edge of Panic". I'd never noticed the "Go ahead (London)" part on there before
Any idea where B.A.D. got it from?

I'm half certain it is from the early episode where a nuclear fueled jet is attempting to land in London, but The Hawk has planted a bomb in the undercarriage. Hence, Thunderbird 2 is dispatched with three tarted up Beach Buggys with hydraulic pads which allow the plane to land safely.
Or, I dreamed that last part.

Re: Kickin' In sample
Dave you are almost correct the "Go ahead London" is actually from Gerry Anderson's Captain Scarlet. I know this is correct because I have the box set.dave202 wrote:"Go ahead London" is from the FAB 60s TV Show, 'Thunderbirds'.oliver wrote:QPRJIM wrote:Not what you are looking for but fun...

Thanks Marky. See what times does to the memory? I said I was only half certain, and that was a bit of an exaggeration. Now I remember the bit from Captain Scarlet as if it were yesterday!Marky Dread wrote:Dave you are almost correct the "Go ahead London" is actually from Gerry Anderson's Captain Scarlet.
