Listened through both shows, both very good. I did notice however that BAD II sounds great with a keyboard. Paradiso really benefits from Dan being there. I think BAD II put on some great shows, but I can't help but notice the lack of the keyboards in the shows until Andre joined in. Hollywood Boulevard is a highlight from Paradiso, shame that one got cut up. City Lights is also really cool to hear with Dan playing on it. Would City Lights be the earliest BAD II song then or were there a few more written but not played? Free was written as the last BAD song I believe.

City Lights was a cover.
Do I remember Teddy B saying that Free was close to being in the setlist on the re-union tour?

Super fabulous artwork as always, Marky. I don't want to be a backseat driver, but Dan plays keyboards at this gig too.

I have to agree that Dan sounds really good with the band in Amsterdam. I also agree that Hollywood Boulevard is a highlight. Two guitars!River wrote:Listened through both shows, both very good. In terms of what they edited for the bootleg, it was meant as vinyl. It couldn't be too long to press.

If you have a picture of the 5 man line up I would re-do the artwork. Finding decent images of BAD II is like finding the holy grail. I was aware of Dan playing keys at this gig and his musical director status and he's mentioned on the rear sleeve.I was tempted to put a pic of Dan on the rear sleeve but all I could find were terrible pics of Dan with Patsy and nothing from the period. So maybe Dan deserved more but alas.
A slight amendment.

I love the BAD II version with the Hill St. Blues intro.

The Theme from Hill St Blues was, like City Lights, a big Ibiza record. Believe it or not!Marky Dread wrote:

BAD's version was generally not well received by the Balearic cognoscente, but I think it's ace.

I seem to remember raising an eyebrow. It can't ever how been played much live? It sort of got lost between the 'two' bands?TeddyB Not Logged In wrote:Ha! I don't remember. But I believe you.MarkyJacobs wrote:City Lights was a cover.

I think Funny Names and Esquerita may also have been well rehearsed?
