I've always remembered what Mick said about seeing Strummer's Latino Rockabilly War play Clash songs. "It was like watching a film someone had made of my life."
He would also unconsciously mouth the backing vocals he had performed for those years to himself as the band bashed through his tunes.

Did any of you order this book direct from Eleusinian Press?
I ordered a copy on Oct. 20th and paid via Paypal...payment went through, but it hasn't been sent yet, and no confirmation either.
I have messaged them twice and have yet to hear back from them.
If any of you ordered directly from them, did you experience the same?
Thanks!

I thought that the LRW only played the Clash cover version of other peoples songs. Just checked and they played quite a few Clash originals obviously don't play the LRW that often.

Well, he still would have sung back up on them.

Umm can I suggest you read the thread it's only 5 pages and all the answers to your questions can be found there.
i don't read this thread.
so have you read the book, and what did you think of it mate?
Yes I have and I enjoyed it. It does have large parts cribbed from Marcus Gray's Last Gang in Town. If you can pick it up cheaply somewhere then it's worth getting.

6/10
Quite a few typos and factual mistakes but an enjoyable read.
Yep that's a fair assessment.
I would agree with that. Definitely worth a read.
Having bought it from Amazon I keep getting recommendations from them to get the Hollywood Brats book. Has anyone read it? I haven't heard anything by them but regardless of that it sounds like it might be a good read.

I will be getting it soon. It does look good and might shed a little more light on that '74-'75 period.
