In collaboration with The Vinyl Factory, Mick Jones will be releasing a limited edition record to coincide with the opening in Venice. The vinyl, called Ex Libris, will feature all new tracks written and recorded by Jones in his studio at the start of 2015. Artwork has also been produced by Jones and will feature a booklet of images. really don't want miss out on a copy of this, can teddy help me out?

I'll try and find out where and how the vinyl is available. The tracks are instrumental. I think they're very cool. Very MJ.

Spoke to Mick, who says the record will be available through the Vinyl Factory website. He was proud (or maybe a bit embarrassed) to have kept the price down to 30 quid, as the accompanying art book cost a lot to produce. It's cool stuff.

Shame they're instrumental, feels like I haven't heard Mick sing for ages.

Cool. In addition to being the producer of Kitty, Daisy & Lewis' new album, MJ got a photo credit as well.

Interested in seeing his art as well as listening to his music.

Thanks for the update, sonny; the overall package with booklet looks intriguing and I like that version of 'pretty thing' even if it's miles away from Bo Diddley's original.
I've taken the plunge, although be warned that you get whacked with extra tax to take the total cost beyond the £30 I was expecting.... (£25 for the LP, £5 postage INCLUDING VAT.... Then a further £5 or so)

Hmmm I don't want to be a killjoy and I wish Mick all the best with his latest project but those three instrumentals I just listened to were very uninspiring.

Please get back soon to what you do best Mick. I can't wait for Mick to play some Rock 'n' Roll.

My sentiments entirely, just sounded like pointless noodling to me. This is Mick fucking Jones for chrissake, just make some proper songs with real drums, that's all I ask.

Not bad, Jonesy. Not bad..

Those riffs would sound better sung, though, probably.
